PADI

PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the largest dive training organisation and certifies more divers than all the rest of the dive training organisations in the world put together. With a PADI Certification you can guarantee that your qualification will be recognised universally, wherever you are in the world.

All PADI courses are modular and structured in a way that helps you build on the previous skills and knowledge that you have already mastered. The teaching aids that are used are colourful and easy to read so that even a person with no previous knowledge of SCUBA diving will completely understand. Your instructor is there to assist and guide you through the learning process, giving you the extra little hints that makes you not just a diver but a fully competent and confident diver.

PADI BUBBLE MAKER:

Any child from 8 years old is welcome to try Bubble Maker. This is a great, fun adventure and very worthwhile experience for curious children. All mini divers will have fun with their PADI Instructor on a one to one basis to guarantee the best safety and attention for them. We supply special equipment for children – small lightweight tanks to make their first dive as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
This dive will be in shallow water (max 2m) only in the best sea conditions from our private ‘Punta Pedalo’ beach.

PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING:

This is an amazing adventure for everyone who wants to see the world under the water with their own eyes and decide whether to continue to get an Open Water Certification. Anyone from the age of 10 can experience this fantastic day that will be an unforgettable memory for the rest of your life.

Discover Scuba Diving begins with an introduction to the world of scuba diving and the wonderful marine life and world waiting to greet you when you descend for the first time. Your first dive will be a shallow dive from our private ‘Punta Pedalo’ beach with your instructor so you can gain a few simple, but fundamental diving skills to prepare you and give you confidence before your second, deeper dive.

Once you have completed the skills, you can do your second dive – you will go a bit deeper (12 mt max) – you will love feeling the freedom of being weightless, like you are flying…. your fun is just beginning! Congratulations you have gained your first diving diploma in only 1 day!!

From this point you can carry on straightaway and get your PADI Open Water Certification or if you don’t have the time this trip….that’s ok. Your Discover Scuba Diving Diploma is valid for one year so you can choose another time to do it.

This is the most popular diving course - your first diver qualification, which will enable you to travel from ocean to ocean around the world exploring and experiencing the magnificent land under the water – the mountains, the valleys, the volcanoes and the canyons, the rainbow reefs and the majestic shipwrecks.

The course comprises 5 lessons out of the water, followed by an exam. But don’t be put off! We always remember that you are on holiday!! We want you to enjoy all parts of the training so we arrange lessons in a relaxed environment – on Punta Pedalo beach, or a café – If you want to study some on your own at a time which suits you better then we will lend you one of our portable dvd players.

You also complete 5 confined water sessions with your instructor to gain all the diving skills you will need to dive confidently and safely for your first 4 open water dives to a max depth of 18 meters. After this it will be easy to pass your final exam. During this time our team will enjoy sharing what we know about the marine life under the water and also the other life above it!!

Once you have completed our course, DWS will offer you one FREE Naturalist dive, in the most famous diving destination in the Mediterranean, "The Portofino Marine Park Area" - the good news is that this FREE dive can also count towards the first dive of your next adventure course: The "Advance Open Water Diver Certification".

If you are a member of a dive club and you have already completed your lessons and confined water sections then we are happy for you to complete your training with us for the open water sessions. Just remember to ask your instructor at home to give you the OWD transfer form to bring with you and we will take care of the rest.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!

If you are meeting us online for the first time and would like to complete your PADI Open Water course, but maybe you don’t have enough time to complete your course while you are on holiday, or you would prefer to make a start on the academic lessons before you come, that is no problem!
